When you purchase a vehicle through us for your African adventure, we can also help you arrange the right insurance cover for your trip.
We work with Maxime, an experienced insurance broker, who can approach multiple insurance companies on your behalf to find the most suitable cover at the best possible price.
We always recommend that your policy provides, as a minimum, SACU (Southern African Customs Union) cover, allowing you to travel with peace of mind across the region. There are also policies available that provide cover beyond SACU, depending on your planned route.
Because the vehicle is insured in your personal name rather than as a rental vehicle, the cost can be significantly lower than commercial rental insurance.
As a guide, insurance can cost approximately €50–€100 per month, depending on the vehicle, destination, duration of the trip and level of cover required.
